National award winning, Nanaimo youth string ensemble, Fiddelium will be performing at Country Club Centre Sunday, January 25th, from 1:30pm – 2:15pm in Shoppers Court!

There’s nothing like live music to perk up the month of January! Fiddelium will perform traditional and contemporary fiddle music as well as original material and groovy arrangements of many well-known songs.

Fiddelium is the Nanaimo Fiddle Society’s premier youth string ensemble, designed for committed young musicians ages 12 to 19 who are passionate about fiddle and folk traditions and eager to grow as performers, collaborators, and leaders.

Recent accomplishments:

• Winner of the 2023 Canadian Folk Music Award for Young Performers of the Year
• Three albums released, featuring ensemble recordings of Canadian and international fiddle repertoire
• Celebrated for its artistic excellence and meaningful contribution to youth music education on Vancouver Island!
